Danish writer, designer and architect Poul Henningsen created the PH 5 in 1958 in response to incandescent bulbs and the constant changes in their shape and size, and the consequent risk of glare.
The PH 5 Opal continues the renowned three-shade system in an opal finish. The pyramid-like fixture effuses both descending and lateral light to illuminate itself, ensuring soft, rich, glare-free illumination.
