Some companies have a history. Ours has generations.
Spicy Home Studio was founded in 2020 by Dimitris and Nelly Papadopoulos — but its first chapter was written in 1953, in a Limassol workshop that smelled of pine and patience.
The founding · 1953
S+A Papadopoulos Bros Ltd
Grandfather Stelios Papadopoulos and great-uncle Agapios found the family firm. Two brothers, one workshop, and a conviction that furniture should be made to last longer than the people who buy it.
The second generation · 1973
Christodoulos joins
The founder's son transforms the workshop into a pine-wood mass production business — craft, now at scale.
On the world stage · 1977
Representing Cyprus in Berlin
The company carries Cypriot furniture-making to the Berlin furniture expo — a small island firm standing among Europe's makers.
The Italian turn · 1993
PKS Interiors
A strategic shift: from making to curating. The firm begins importing high-end Italian design and is renamed PKS Interiors.
2003
A tornado tears through Limassol and destroys the showroom. Everything the family built — gone in an afternoon. What a storm cannot take is thirty years of knowing how a home should feel.

Philosophy of Kudos and Style
Rebuilt from the ground up around high-end Italian design brands, and rebranded once more — a name that told you exactly what it believed in.
The city moves · 2011
Relocation
Limassol grows around the original site; the business relocates with it, as it always has — adapting without losing itself.
The hardest chapter · 2013
The doors close
The financial crisis does what the tornado could not. After sixty years, the business closes. The lineage, though, does not end — it waits.
The rebirth · 2020
Spicy Home Studio
Dimitris Papadopoulos — third generation — and Nelly Papadopoulou relaunch the family calling under a new name. New ownership, same lineage. Designer's furniture, bespoke furniture, outdoor, lighting, rugs, curtains and interior accessories.
